It happened in early 2004. After the factory went into production, its product was not able to meet the market requirements, the specifications even fell below these of the third grade Metallurgical Cokes. At the invitation of Lianwang Coking Factory, Fenwei sent out related experts to carry out a survey of the processes and raw materials. After making a research into the specifications and performances of the existing coal types, the experts put forward a new blending scheme together with some adjusting in the coke breaking process. Without any increase in overall blending expenditure, the specifications of renovated products met the standards for Second Grade Metallurgical Cokes once and for all.
